NSG scores with sponsorship of Wales U14 football champions
Scaffolding giant NSG is throwing its weight behind one of Wales’ best young football teams.
NSG UK scores with sponsorship of
Wales U14 football champions.
The Deeside based company is sponsoring the Ysceifiog Wolves JFC
Under 14s team, based near Caerwys in Flintshire, for the 2011/12
season.
The Ysceifiog Wolves JFC team was only formed in 2007 but has
already had excellent success. They won several cups last season,
topping the Clywd U13s league, then winning the North Wales and
Welsh Tesco national cups. The team represented Wales in the final
of the Tesco Cup at Birmingham FC's St Andrews Stadium, losing
against England in a penalty shoot out final - their only defeat of
the season.
Andy Dowsett, Ysceifiog Wolves manager, said: "We are beyond
delighted to be taking the team forward in partnership with NSG UK
- their generosity and support will enable our young men to both
appear and feel like the young budding professionals that they
are.
"We are in the process of preparing
the squad for the 2011/12 season, and the sponsorship could not be
better timed. The team's existing playing kit is three years old,
and the squad have never had training kit or waterproofs. This
sponsorship will make a massive difference both on and off the
pitch and we can't thank Mike Carr and his team nearly
enough."
NSG UK managing director Mike Carr said: "Our community work is
very important to NSG and we are firmly committed to a strong
corporate social responsibility programme. The Wolves are a great
young team and we are very happy to be able to help them get a
professional kit and training gear, which we hope can spear them on
to further success.
NSG is also a supporter of the Shrewsbury House Youth and Community
Centre in Liverpool, which provides activities and a place to go
for local youngsters, as well as an innovative training and
apprenticeship scheme.
